Inside the book
Told in rhyme across sixteen short chapters, Snake & Dog follows Dog’s friendship with Snake from its warm beginning through to the moment Dog starts to notice the difference between how Snake’s attention feels and what it actually does — and the wider circle of animals who help, hinder, and watch as that unfolds. The second half of the book is filled with activities you can do with your child, to explore what ‘healthy’ relationships look and feel like – with ‘self’ and also others.
